Zaakpay, the B2B payments arm of listed fintech firm MobiKwik, has received the final certificate of authorisation from the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) to operate as an online payment aggregator under the Payment and Settlement Systems Act, 2007 (PSS Act).
The approval marks a significant regulatory milestone for Zaakpay, enabling the company to expand its digital payments footprint and strengthen its core B2B offerings. As a payment aggregator, Zaakpay will now facilitate seamless transactions across multiple payment modes including credit/debit cards, UPI, net banking, digital wallets, pay-later options, and EMIs.
Zaakpay, which has been rebuilding its gateway business with a focus on innovation, currently serves leading brands across sectors such as transit, e-commerce, digital lending, healthcare, and utility payments. In 2024, it partnered with Meta (WhatsApp for Business) to introduce conversational commerce-based in-chat payments for large enterprise clients in the transit and healthcare sectors. It also launched affordability options like Credit &amp; Debit Card EMIs at checkout and rolled out instant daily settlements for enterprise merchants.
