Bengaluru-based healthtech startup Stance Health has raised $1 million in a pre-seed funding round led by General Catalyst, with participation from Antler, DEVC, and EX Capital (founded by Sword Health&rsquo;s team). Prominent angel investors, including Sriharsha Majety and Nandan Reddy (co-founders of Swiggy) and Kulin Shah (co-founder of Onsurity), also joined the round.
Scaling Tech-Driven MSK Care
The funding will help Stance Health expand its structured, technology-driven musculoskeletal (MSK) care model in India, a market that remains largely unorganized. The investment will support the development of its proprietary technology platform, as well as the expansion of multidisciplinary MSK centers across Bengaluru and other major cities.
By leveraging AI-driven motion sensors, advanced diagnostics, and personalized therapeutic interventions, the startup aims to provide an integrated patient journey&mdash;from diagnosis to full recovery.
"The fragmented nature of musculoskeletal care in India has long obstructed patient access to effective treatments," said Rohit Arora, Co-founder &amp; CEO of Stance Health.
"This funding allows us to broaden our reach and standardize MSK care across the country with a consumer-first, technology-driven approach."
Bridging Gaps in MSK Treatment
Stance Health integrates medical expertise, rehabilitation specialists, and AI-powered assessments into a comprehensive omnichannel care system. Its three-phase recovery process&mdash;Reassess, Restore, Reignite&mdash;ensures structured treatment and long-term recovery.
The startup has already conducted over 12,000 sessions, achieving patient retention rates three times higher than the industry average.
Investor Confidence in Stance Health&rsquo;s Vision
Investors believe Stance Health's hybrid model, which blends offline touchpoints with digital engagement, sets a new benchmark for MSK care in India.
