Fintech giant Paytm has unveiled its latest innovation, the MahaKumbh Soundbox, a 4G-enabled, Made-in-India payment device designed to streamline digital transactions for merchants across the country. The launch took place at the Startup Mahakumbh event, a major gathering celebrating India&rsquo;s entrepreneurial spirit.
The Paytm MahaKumbh Soundbox features a built-in digital screen that displays real-time payment confirmations along with audio alerts, helping merchants instantly verify transactions and reduce operational errors. The device comes equipped with a 3-watt speaker, supports 11 languages, and offers an extended battery life of up to 10 days.
Named after the iconic Indian festival that unites people from diverse backgrounds, the MahaKumbh Soundbox consolidates multiple features including transaction summaries, device status, and total collections &mdash; all in one compact solution.
Vijay Shekhar Sharma, Founder &amp; CEO of Paytm, emphasized the company's mission to empower small businesses:
