The acquisition aims to enhance NODWIN&rsquo;s capabilities in content production, distribution, and marketing services, solidifying its position as a one-stop solution for brands and publishers targeting India&rsquo;s burgeoning gaming community.
Deal Details
NODWIN Gaming, a subsidiary of Nazara Technologies, will acquire 93% of AFK Gaming&rsquo;s shares through a combination of cash and a stock swap valued at ₹7.6 crore. NODWIN previously owned the remaining 7% stake, making AFK Gaming a fully owned subsidiary post-acquisition.
AFK Gaming&rsquo;s founding team&mdash;Nishant Patel, Rakesh Ramchandran, and Siddharth Nayyar&mdash;will take on roles within NODWIN. Patel will focus on strategic initiatives and further develop AFK&rsquo;s gaming business newsletter, Pixel P&amp;L. Ramchandran will work on technology-focused solutions, while Nayyar will continue leading Max Level, AFK&rsquo;s marketing agency arm.

Founded in 2012, AFK Gaming is known for providing industry insights, news, and marketing services tailored to gaming and esports. Its business-focused newsletter, Pixel P&amp;L, offers in-depth industry analysis, while its Max Level division supports campaign management, content creation, social media marketing, influencer partnerships, and PR for clients like ASUS ROG, KRAFTON, and Saudi Esports Federation.

NODWIN&rsquo;s Strategic Expansion
The acquisition aligns with NODWIN Gaming&rsquo;s growth strategy, which has included recent purchases of Trinity Gaming India, Comic Con India, Freaks 4U Gaming (Germany), Publishme (West Asia and Turkey), Singapore-based Branded, and Ninja Global (Turkey).
