Bengaluru and U.S.-based AI startup Hyperbots has raised $6.5 million in a Series A funding round to scale its AI-powered co-pilots that automate complex finance and accounting tasks. The round was co-led by Arkam Ventures and Athera Venture Partners, with participation from JSW Ventures and existing investors Kalaari Capital, Sunicon Ventures, and Darashaw &amp; Company.
Founded in 2023 by Niyati Chhaya, Ram Jayaraman, and Rajeev Pathak, Hyperbots builds agentic AI platforms that automate routine yet critical financial operations. These include invoice processing, reconciliation, accrual management, tax validation, and compliance checks, aimed at reducing manual effort and improving operational accuracy&mdash;especially for mid-market enterprises in the U.S.
With its domain-trained AI models and agentic workflow engine, Hyperbots is driving what it calls "straight-through processing" with minimal human input. According to CEO Rajeev Pathak, the company&rsquo;s tools currently deliver 99.8% accuracy in document processing while cutting manual effort by up to 80%.
The newly raised capital will support Hyperbots' expansion in the U.S. and the launch of HyperLM, a proprietary large language model (LLM) pre-trained on extensive finance and accounting datasets. This LLM aims to set Hyperbots apart in the competitive enterprise AI landscape by enhancing precision across complex workflows.
The platform also integrates seamlessly with ERP, CRM, and finance systems, making it easier for companies to modernize their finance operations. Hyperbots currently serves clients in healthcare, media, EV infrastructure, retail, and real estate, and plans to onboard over 100 customers this fiscal year.
Employing around 55 people&mdash;mostly engineers based in Bengaluru, Hyperbots is poised for rapid growth. Commenting on the investment, Bala Srinivasa, Managing Director at Arkam Ventures, said:
