Google is set to launch its first-ever physical retail stores in India, marking a significant expansion beyond the U.S. The tech giant is finalizing store locations in New Delhi and Mumbai, with Bengaluru and Gurugram also under consideration.
Spanning approximately 15,000 square feet, the stores are expected to open within the next six months. This move follows Apple&rsquo;s entry into India&rsquo;s retail market in 2023 and aligns with Google&rsquo;s strategy to strengthen its foothold in the premium smartphone segment, where it currently holds a 2% market share.
By establishing these stores, Google aims to enhance visibility for its Pixel smartphones, smartwatches, and earbuds while ramping up local production to support India&rsquo;s manufacturing push.
