Fintech startup Dodo Payments has raised $1.1 million in its pre-seed funding round, led by Antler, 9Unicorns, and Venture Catalysts. The round also saw participation from industry leaders such as Nitin Gupta (Uni Cards, PayU), Maninder Gulati (ex-Oyo CSO, Lightspeed), Raymond Russell (ex-Boom Supersonic Chief of Staff), Preethi Kasireddy (ex-a16z Partner), and Nishant Verman (ex-Flipkart CorpDev head).
Funding to Drive Innovation &amp; Expansion
Dodo Payments will use the fresh capital to enhance its technological infrastructure, focusing on subscriptions, billing, fraud detection, and risk management. The company also plans to build local payment rails in over 30 countries, with a strong emphasis on the EU, UK, Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Brazil, and Australia.
Simplifying Cross-Border Payments
Founded in 2023 by Rishabh Goel and Ayush Agarwal, Dodo Payments aims to streamline global transactions, allowing merchants to accept payments from over 150 countries with a success rate exceeding 90%. The platform supports 25+ local payment methods, including Apple Pay, Klarna, Affirm, Cash App, UPI, and major card networks. With availability in 14 languages, it covers 86% of the global population, positioning itself as a key player in international payments.
