Bengaluru-based cloud kitchen and food services startup Curefoods has acquired pan-India rights for global doughnut and coffee chain Krispy Kreme, further strengthening its presence in the Indian market. The move extends the company&rsquo;s footprint into North India, with the addition of seven retail stores and four cloud kitchens across the Delhi NCR region.
Though the financial details of the deal remain undisclosed, Curefoods now becomes the exclusive operator of Krispy Kreme across India, managing over 100 locations that include both dine-in outlets and cloud kitchens. The expansion into the north follows Curefoods&rsquo; acquisition of the chain&rsquo;s South and West India operations in December 2023.
&ldquo;Delhi NCR is just the beginning. We&rsquo;re committed to scaling Krispy Kreme in a sustainable and exciting way for consumers,&rdquo; said Ankit Nagori, Founder of Curefoods. &ldquo;With full national rights under our umbrella, we are now poised to build a unified growth strategy.&rdquo;
The expansion includes stores in prime locations like Worldmark Aerocity, Select Citywalk Mall (Saket), Ambience Mall (Gurgaon), Promenade Mall (Vasant Kunj), and Mall of India (Noida). Curefoods also announced plans to target Mumbai as a key market in its next phase of growth.
Founded in 2020 by former Flipkart executive Nagori, Curefoods operates a portfolio of prominent F&amp;B brands including EatFit, CakeZone, Nomad Pizza, Sharief Bhai, Olio Pizza, Frozen Bottle, and now Krispy Kreme. The company currently operates 500+ cloud kitchens and outlets across 40 cities in India.
Curefoods reported a 53% YoY revenue growth in FY24 while significantly reducing its net losses. The acquisition aligns with the company&rsquo;s consolidation strategy in India&rsquo;s fast-growing F&amp;B market. Curefoods has previously acquired Yumlane, merged with Maverix, and secured southern India franchise rights for U.S.-based Sbarro.
The cloud kitchen segment in India has been growing at a CAGR of 30&ndash;40% (2019&ndash;2024) and is projected to grow 35% annually over the next four years, according to the National Restaurant Association of India.
In line with its aggressive expansion strategy, Curefoods is reportedly preparing for a $300&ndash;400 million IPO in late FY26, and has restructured itself as a public entity in anticipation of the listing.
