Speaking at a recent company event, Shah emphasized the importance of leading by example. &ldquo;If we are building products that drive responsible financial behaviour, we must live it first. We cannot promote this ethos if we don&rsquo;t practice it ourselves,&rdquo; he stated. According to Shah, maintaining a high credit score should be a default expectation for India&rsquo;s affluent class, as it reflects healthy financial habits crucial for the country&rsquo;s financial ecosystem.
Recognizing that early-career professionals may find it challenging to meet this benchmark, Cred offers new hires a three-month period to improve their credit scores. During this time, the company provides active support to help employees enhance their financial standing. While uncommon in India, such hiring policies are more prevalent in Western markets, particularly in finance-related industries handling sensitive financial data.
This policy is an extension of Cred&rsquo;s broader vision of rewarding creditworthy individuals. By ensuring that its employees have high credit scores, the company aims to foster a culture of financial responsibility within its workforce.
