Diversified conglomerate ITC Ltd has announced plans to invest ₹20,000 crore over the medium term to expand its manufacturing footprint across various sectors. Speaking at the company&rsquo;s Annual General Meeting on Friday, Chairman Sanjiv Puri revealed that ITC has already established eight new manufacturing facilities in recent years as part of its strategic growth initiatives.
Puri emphasized the company&rsquo;s commitment to its &lsquo;Bharat First&rsquo; strategy, which focuses on strengthening its domestic presence before exploring significant global expansion. He also noted that the launch of new brands will play a key role in driving value accretion.
Highlighting the company&rsquo;s diversified portfolio, Puri said that 65% of ITC&rsquo;s revenue now comes from its non-cigarette businesses.
