Global financial giant Goldman Sachs has made a significant investment in Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) and Zomato, purchasing shares worth ₹281 crore through open market transactions, according to BSE block deal data released on Friday.
The investment, made via Goldman Sachs (Singapore), includes:
● 3.85 lakh shares of HAL at ₹4,176.25 per share
● 60.07 lakh shares of Zomato at ₹199.5 per share
With a total transaction value of ₹280.96 crore, the deal strengthens Goldman Sachs' presence in the Indian market.
The stake in HAL, a key player in India&rsquo;s defense and aerospace sector, underscores growing investor confidence in the country&rsquo;s defense manufacturing industry. Meanwhile, the investment in Zomato, one of India&rsquo;s leading food-tech platforms, highlights continued interest in the expanding consumer technology space.
