Aviral Bhatnagar&rsquo;s A Junior VC (AJVC) has successfully closed its first ₹100 crore fund, focused on investing in early-stage Indian startups at the pre-seed level. The fund will target sectors such as artificial intelligence (AI), software-as-a-service (SaaS), and consumer technology.
Bhatnagar, a former investor at Venture Highway, exited the firm before its acquisition by General Catalyst in June 2024. With AJVC&rsquo;s new fund, the firm aims to invest in 12-15 startups annually, supporting young ventures with structured early-stage funding.
The fund is primarily backed by domestic capital, including Indian family offices, unicorn founders, and senior executives from leading investment firms. AJVC typically invests ₹1.5 crore for a 9% equity stake in startups. So far, it has backed nine companies across AI, B2B, consumer brands, and consumer tech, with some emerging from regions like Assam and Jharkhand.
